Gaslandia: “A Dieselpunk Anthology”

You can find a story of mine, A Better Life, in the recently released dieselpunk anthology GASLANDIA. Published in eBook format, and put out by Radiant Crown Publishing. The eBook is available through Amazon Kindle, which I will leave a link to down below. In A Better Life I tackle the theme of domestic violence (a wife aiming to take her children and escape her abusive husband) for just that: a better life than the one she leads now. Story-wise, it is set against a steampunk backdrop with airships and gears and cogs, but with a working dieselpunk aesthetic. Pick up a copy off Amazon today, or from Radiant Crown’s website. Pleased to announce I will have a short story coming to the “pulp adventure” and “pulp crime” market, Crimson Streets. The story will appear at some point in 2017. It is a pulp adventure story, written in the vein of classic authors such as Clark Ashton Smith, Robert E. Howard, and Jules Verne. And so this marks my 4th magazine appearance in a month.  I won’t have any more till year’s end, so I hope everybody enjoys their summer, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t drop by.  There will be free fiction (see Free Stories), free ebooks (short stories or novelettes), a new section on retro items, and more on the current book projects I’m working on, which will eventually lead us into 2014.  You stick around; it’s going to be fun, you hear.

Been a long while since I’ve been on here.  Actually, been on hiatus for about a year-and-a-half.  In that time I’ve handled some financial burdens and health matters, been to Family Court yet again (hey, what else is new), been in talks with a wonderful agent, became a freelance writer and video game reviewer, started working with a comic book artist, attended an editing workshop, and, at the moment, currently writing new fictional material in my spare time — what I call “digital exclusives” — for 2013. Exclusives that will be available for such devices as the Kindle, B&N Nook, Sony, Kobo, Stanza, Apple iPhone, and through outlets like Smashwords.  Check back every so often under: “eBooks & Kindle.”

Today, however, I present two “brand new” short stories to David Lee Summers’ Tales of the Talisman.  My record 5th and 6th Acceptances, one steampunk tale and one fantasy tale, due out in spring 2013 and summer 2013.  Something I’m not used to, since I’ve been writing mostly long form — novelettes, novellas, and novels.  But you won’t want to miss these two stories when they DO arrive.  In other good news, I might be getting married!
